Welcome to Extension Magazine, a publication of Extended, Professional and Continuing Education (EPaCE) at Cal Poly. We are excited to share with you the vital role EPaCE plays in connecting Cal Poly with the needs of our community, region and beyond.

EPaCE is dedicated to developing and delivering innovative, high-quality academic and professional development programs that address the evolving needs of individuals, businesses, and organizations. We believe that education is a powerful tool for positive change, and we are committed to extending Cal Poly’s reach to provide additional educational opportunities.

In this issue of Extension Magazine, you will learn about several EPaCE programs that are making an impact on learners at all stages of their academic journey. From high school students eager to explore Cal Poly’s academic offerings, to undergraduate and graduate students engaged in exploratory curriculum, to working professionals participating in a training program designed to increase wildfire resiliency, Cal Poly’s Learn by Doing philosophy is interwoven in all of our programming.
