What is the program curriculum for the Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Program?

Students spend the first 3 weeks taking two classes at Cal Poly and then participate in a 7-week program at Draper University located in Silicon Valley. The program curriculum has been posted and is available on the Program Curriculum page.

Will I have time to meet other students in the Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Program?

Yes! The 7-week entrepreneurship training is an immersive program where students will live and work at Draper University, as well as participate in many team activities.

What do the program costs include?

The program costs for Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs includes Cal Poly tuition, instructional fees, and institutional fees for Draper University. For a further breakdown on costs, view the Financial Information page.

Will I be able to bring a car?

Students cannot bring cars to Draper University, nor will they need one. There is no overnight parking available. There is excellent public transportation near the school (CalTran, Bart). The school has bikes that students can rent to get around downtown.

What dining options will there be during the 7-week program in Silicon Valley?

Lunch will be provided every day. Students are responsible for providing their own breakfast and dinner daily. Downtown San Mateo has a dazzling array of affordable, diverse food options.

What can I expect from the 7-week program in Silicon Valley?

Draper University is a school for innovators. Its goal is to help people do the great things that they are capable of. Expect to be inspired. To do things you didn’t think were possible. To be fearless. To build a network of friends, mentors and colleagues that you will take with you on your path. Every student will create a company, with mentoring and coaching from experts, and have the opportunity to pitch for funding from Silicon Valley venture capitalists. Where will I be living during the Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Program?

Students participating in the Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Program are responsible for arranging their own housing during the first three weeks classes will be delivered on campus at Cal Poly. Housing will be provided during the program at The Draper University facility in San Mateo. Students should contact the Housing Office to discuss potential housing options to secure their housing when they return to Cal Poly from San Mateo.
